Most often than not only a few job seekers will try to put value on their resumes. A lot of them are satisfied on how beautiful it looks, the way they typed it with their favorite font, the paper they used during printing etc.., but, what most of them neglects to keep in mind is that in the real world employers search for the resume that standout from the pile in front of them. An accounting or publishing job interview or in any field that is, comprises your dreams, education and the way you presented the paper. During your interview make a lasting impact then let your prepared resume do the rest for you.

What to bring during Job Interviews

To be more organized and neater, bring a clean folder or envelope with you spacious enough for all the necessary contents which may be:

•a copy of your resume. If you have more than one interviewer, bring extra copies. And to make sure how many you should bring, ask ahead.
•Reference list
•Recommendation letters if you have any or if it is required
•Extra paper and pen you can use to jot down each interviewer’s name, future schedules and important details. So you better make sure that you listen well to the instructions given to you.

In preparation for the job interview you are aiming, you should first ask yourself “ What should I wear?”. Remember that your appearance matters and there is always that old niche “ first impressions last” and you’ve been hearing these words quite too often right? It’s not always about the content of your resume that employers will check on you, they will also measure the image you are projecting once you entered that room. Moreover, these employers would prefer to hire candidates that looks dignified and can represent their company once they are officially on the employee list. So, don’t wait for the sunset and start looking for that perfect outfit!

Before heading straight to your scheduled interview, you must prepare a list of questions that you may want to ask the interviewer. Either in marketing or publishing industry it is a norm to anticipate that you be asked and in return ask your own set of questions. It will show that you really have interest on the position you are applying for. Here are some of them:

How do you gauge your employees for promotions?
How and When do you decide to hire a candidate?
After interviewing your candidate, what is the next step?
What can you say about career growth in your company?
