There are various ways to break into the publishing industry. In fact there are certain ways to be in the publishing industry that are often overlooked. Consider this statistics, during the past year, there were 172,000 new books published in the U.S. alone by approximately 90,000 authors. These means that either each author submitted two manuscripts or a certain group of writers made more than two manuscripts. In simple terms, this is attributed to ghostwriting, where there is an author behind the author. The ghostwriter is responsible for majority if not all of the writing but has none of the credits. These people have been responsible for majority of the widely published manuscripts every year including some of the bestsellers. One group of ghostwriters produced 10% of the bestsellers that were published in 2005.
